dmfdmf. It is the black relay behind the negative terminal of the battery. Sometimes a quick and easy fix is to pull it and bang it on the ground a bit (but not too rough) and try again. If that works it should be replaced. However, there are a lot of interlocks/switches that can stop the fuel pump from priming.
Yes, the SV looks better, is lighter, and is known to handle better. One of the few reasons I got the DL650 instead: 1) More suited for long trips (bigger tank, luggage rack). 2) Many insurance companies consider the SV a "sportbike" vs the DL650, therefore insurance on the DL was as much as half the cost of the SV.
