But way back when, I had yet to even own a DL650, but I knew that engine to be a peach. It was not until I convinced my best friend to purchase a V-Strom 650, that I really grasped what a magnificent motorcycle it to be. It had that spunky little Suzuki V-Twin, in a stark upright touring oriented seating position, with top quality wind protection.
The Bottom Line. The V-Strom 650 is still the same well-mannered, easy-to-ride, economical adventure tourer. Now with increased power and the addition of traction control, it’s more-refined and versatile. The smooth engine, bar end weights and cushy saddle give it all-day comfort for daily commutes or extended trips.
Suzuki advertises the V-Strom as an adventure bike, but it needs a lot of improvement if you plan to use it for anything serious.
