Released in July 2006, the Mitsubishi ML Triton utility was initially available with a dual cab body, with single cabs following in 2007. Engine choices initially consisted of a 3.2-litre turbo-diesel or a 3.5-litre petrol V6, though a 2.4-litre petrol engine was introduced for an entry-level single cab GL variant in April 2007 and a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel engine was introduced in May 2008.

Mitsubishi's all-new 2.4-litre turbodiesel has been quite the revelation. With peak outputs of 133 kW and 430 Nm, it provides good tractability; we've been impressed with its refinement and economy. Mitsubishi claims the Triton will consume 7.3 L/100 km and during the bakkie's tenure in our fleet (during which time it did a lot of commuting

Re: ml triton 3.2 tdi air con belt replacement. by coughy on Sat Feb 13, 2016 11:44 am. your tensioner must be bigger than 88mm od. as the dayco suppier states it to be the right one. so it is only the tensioner size that must be different. pls measure it outside diameter.

There s a decent 3.2-litre turbodiesel engine and it offers 120kW and 343Nm. It s not fast by any stretch, but it has enough power to reach the national speed limit without too much effort. What s interesting to note is this particular engine can work on any diesel. Unlike most modern oil-burning cars which are especially fussy and need special
Cabin and Safety. 26. THE Navara’s cabin is a little bigger than the Triton’s, but not quite as big as the D-Max. The seats up front are comfortable, but there’s no steering wheel reach for the driver.
New Triton is well equipped for tough opposition with keen pricing, equipment and four-star safety rating. The 3.2-litre direct injection turbodiesel is rated at 118kW and 343Nm of torque at 2000rpm. Triton is packed with kit and wants for little in extras. Pajero 3.2DT 4WD models boast auto freewheeling hubs and the easy select 4WD function.

The new 2.5-litre diesel two-wheel drive Triton will join the extended Triton family which includes a 2.4-litre petrol or 3.5-litre V6 petrol engines on the 4X2 and the 3.5-litre V6 petrol or a 3.
At $56,440 the Triton Sport Edition has all the off-road features, a clever 4x4 system and a willing and smooth-for-a-ute 2.4-litre turbo-diesel, though we think the regular GSR auto ($51,490 before on-road costs) remains the sweet spot in the current Triton range.
