OPs talking about the schedule published in the Service Manual, which shows non-North American bikes on a 42000 km valve clearance schedule, rather than 24000 km. See attached. Many believe that this is done by Kawasaki during the EPA certification process. This seems to be prevalent among all Kawasaki models. See FirstIve been riding for almost 40 years. Much of that has been on liter-class sport bikes. Last year, I "settled" for a leftover Ninja 650R. It was attractive because of the cost, styling and comfort (more on that in a moment) for riding two-up.
